ASHLEY GOMEZ
Executive Director
Ashley was born and raised in our local community. She is a graduate of The University of Mary Hardin- Baylor. Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge and background both in leadership as well as over 14 years of experience in the child welfare system. Ashley is very active in our community, she serves on the Mexia Area Chamber- Treasurer, NAACP, Women’s Friday Club, and Limestone County Child Welfare Board. She is an asset to our local program. Ashley and her husband, Roberto, have one son, Brian-Michael.



Sherrie Bailey
Advocate Supervisor
Sherris is a lifelong resident of Mexia, Texas. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas Tyler and Master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin. Sherrie recently retired from Mexia ISD after 31 years in 2022. Sherrie is very active with her church, Northcrest Church of Christ in Mexia, where she teaches bible classes, among other activities. She also volunteers at Caritas in Mexia. She always strives to put children first in all aspects of her life. Sherrie and her husband, Bobby, have two children, Ashton and Alec.
Kenneth Brown
Advocate Supervisor
Kenneth has been in Limestone and Freestone counties most of his life. He recently retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice where he served 30 years. Kenneth has been an advocate with CASA since the start of the local organization and recently became staff in August 2024. He has a passion for gardening and working outdoors enjoying nature. Kenneth and his wife, Lisa, have three children, Tyler, Stephanie, and Gracie.
Courtney kirven
Recruitment coordinator
Courtney has been in Limestone County for her entire life. She has experience working in the healthcare field. Courtney is our newest employee, joining our team in November. Courtney loves poetry and is a proud mother of a beautiful 3 year old son, named Sonny.
