About CASA of Freestone & Limestone Counties
Every child deserves to be safe, heard, and supported.
CASA of Freestone & Limestone Counties recruits, trains, and supports community volunteers who advocate for children involved in the child welfare system because of abuse or neglect. Appointed by the court, CASA volunteers get to know the children they serve, gather information from the important people in their lives, and provide independent recommendations focused on each child’s safety, well-being, and best interests.
CASA advocacy goes beyond the courtroom. Volunteers spend time with children, communicate with caregivers, families, teachers, caseworkers, attorneys, and service providers, and help ensure that a child’s needs and voice remain at the center of the case.
Established in September 2022, CASA of Freestone & Limestone Counties continues to grow because of the dedication of our volunteers, donors, community partners, and supporters. Together, we are working toward a future where every child we serve has the opportunity to grow and thrive in a safe, stable, and permanent home.
